Rebeca Cintrón-Loáisiga

Rebeca Cintrón-Loáisiga (she/ella/tiya) is a detribalized Borikua living within the diaspora. She is an anthropologist and curator committed to dismantling colonial legacies and amplifying Indigenous narratives. With a Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies focused on Museum Studies from NYU, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Rutgers University, she possesses a unique blend of academic and lived experience. Her work navigates the intricate threads of Indigenous, Mestizaje & Latinidad identities, diasporic communities, and cultural retention, Indigenous Latine futurism and Latine cultural representation within museums and cultural institutions. When not conducting research, Rebeca enjoys sharing time with her family, experiencing cuisines as a plant-based foodie and communing with her ancestors.
